In partnership with the Patchwork Foundation, the British Muslim Heritage Centre (BMHC) organised a meeting with the Rt Hon Nick Clegg MP, Deputy Prime Minister on 7th February 2014.
The meeting represents a fantastic opportunity for the BMHC to provide a platform for the Muslim community of Manchester to listen and engage in an open question and answer session with the Deputy Prime Minister on issues concerning the community. This unique event also provided a wonderful opportunity for networking for participants.
Over 400 people attended the event form across Greater Manchester and the North West. A whole host of questions were asked from members of the Muslim Community especially from women and youth groups.
The Chairman and Trustees of the BMHC welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister to the Centre and emphasised the importance of engagement between the Political leaders and the Muslim Community.
