The evening provided the fantastic opportunity for the guests to hear and learn from His Excellency and gain valuable insights in to the life and legacy of the great late Nelson Mandela.
H.E. Ebrahim Rasool, emphasised the importance of building trust between and within communities, sharing with us his perspective on the characteristic of the Beloved Prophet (pbuh), as the Al-Ameen (the trustworthy). He gave practical examples, from his experiences in South Africa and throughout the world, on how best to build that trust, and exemplify the values of Islam in each and everything we do, and in sharing our Islamic heritage and culture with the world. The evening also provided an opportunity for guests to learn more about the British Muslim Heritage Centre and some of our proposed future initiatives, in particular the ‘Sultans of Science’ exhibition.
