Salary: Starting salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience and will range from £22,745 – £25,585 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
We are looking for an experienced youth worker and/or teacher who can contribute to the development of Islamic Ethos and Tarbiyah at KD Grammar School for Boys. The successful candidate will work in a caring and energetic school with a distinctive ethos. You will be required to teach some Islamic Studies lessons and will be expected to contribute to maintaining the high standards of this successful school.
K D (Kassim Darwish) is an independent Grammar School for 150 boys aged 11-16 situated in South Manchester. Although comprehensive in intake, its results are exceptionally high. In the GCSE Performance tables, the school features consistently amongst the highest performing boys’ schools in Manchester. With small class sizes of around 15 students, teachers have the opportunity to enable each boy to reach his full potential. KD is a faith school, with a caring inclusive ethos based on Islamic values, open to students of all backgrounds.
This post is open to both experienced and newly qualified staff. A firm foundation in Islamic knowledge and understanding is essential, with some fluency in Arabic language being desirable.
