The BMHC will be a centre of excellence for Integration, Co-existence, and Community Development. The achievement of the aims of the centre necessitates working in partnership with various organisations in order to engage as many people as possible. We are therefore, in the process of forming partnerships with different organisations that share our dream of shaping a cohesive British Society.
We are beginning to see increasing evidence of active engagement with the centre particularly on the part of governmental and non-governmental organisations in Britain. The centre is working hard to prepare the necessary ground needed to bring about a cohesive British Society.
The centre has also started to make some impact on the thinking and attitude of various establishments within the UK, and many are either working in partnership with the BMHC, or are willing to collaborate with the centre in the future.
Members of the community in Manchester do support the Centre’s integration and cohesion agenda and have been providing support. Many Greater Manchester residents have contributed financially and in kind to the BMHC. The Manchester City Council and other organisations in Greater Manchester, e.g. Higher and Further education institutions, voluntary organisations, etc., have expressed their support for the establishment of the BMHC and are working in partnership with the Centre to develop strategies and create an environment conducive to promoting integration and cohesion.
The National Government and other National organisations have an important role to play in promoting integration. The success and/or failure of the BMHC; which is a National organisation with an aim to become influential not only nationally, but on the European and the world stage eventually; will be determined by the level of central government and national organisations involvement with the centre. The centre has therefore sought the advice and support from central authorities at various stages during the development of the project. Ministers, MPs and others have unequivocally supported the project and many have described the project as a solution for the problems and challenges that British Citizens are facing presently. Many individuals have provided both moral and financial support to the centre.
The centre has forged links with various international organisations, governments, and individuals who fully appreciate and support the integration agenda driven by the Muslim Community in Britain. The aim is to work with all of our international partners to encourage the Muslim communities in Europe to become fully integrated in the European Society, show Islamic moderation and build bridges with all sections of the community. The centre is collaborating with the International Moderation Centre in Kuwait to help encourage British and European Muslims to pursue Islamic moderation.
Many of our partners abroad have supported the centre morally and financially. For example, the centre has received support in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Al-Sharijah, Qatar, and Ajman.
