BMHC Womens Project…

Those who follow the day-to-day activities at the BMHC are well aware of the emphasis and importance we place on women in our community… and to a larger extent the role of women in Society.

To date, we feel women have been unable to enjoy the same degree of empowerment and independence in running their own affairs as their male counterparts have been able to do.

Women have to go through many layers of red-tape and bureaucracy to get even the smallest project, idea or event off the ground.

Over the past few weeks, following extensive feedback and communication, we’ve decided to launch the ‘Heritage Womens Project’.

We’re starting an actual, physical project, not just a hypothetical discussion, but an actual facility for women to come together and actually do something. This will exist in the form of space, rooms, facilities and resources for women to come in and ‘Empower & Inspire’ each other through whatever means they see necessary.

The project is being launched officially as a WOMENS ONLY event on the 22nd of June from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. We’ll be offering a limited number of places on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are on sale now priced at £15. (All proceeds will go directly towards this project.)

On the evening, we’ll have talks, a Designer Hijab Catwalk, Entertainment (Nasheeds, Poetry & Comedy) and a three-course meal.

Most importantly, you’ll get to meet like-minded women keen to make a difference.

Tickets can be purchased from the BMHC by calling 0161 881 8062 or 07587 212123 (between 10:00am and 4:00pm).

You can also buy tickets from the BMHC Main Office.
