Whalley Range Celebrate Lantern Parade and the Whalley Range Community Forum (WRCF) Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Whalley Range Celebrate Lantern Parade and the Whalley Range Community Forum (WRCF) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Thursday 8th March 2018.

The Whalley Range Celebrate Lantern Parade will start at 6pm at JNR8, 82 Cromwell Avenue M16 0BG.

Come and see the beautiful lanterns that have been made by local community groups and artists, then join in the parade through Manley Park and our local streets.

The parade will finish at the British Muslim Heritage Centre, culminating with a magical fire performance from Travelling Light Circus at 6:45 pm

You are also welcome to attend the Whalley Range Community Forum AGM taking place at the British Muslim Heritage Centre after the fire performance, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

Special features of this years AGM:

  • Whalley Range Celebrate Lantern Parade (6:00pm— 6:45pm from JNR8, 82 Cromwell Rd to the BMHC)
  • Magical fire performance from Travelling Light Circus (6:45pm at the BMHC)
  • Special presentation and short film about International Women’s day
  • Drinks and Refreshment available at the AGM

During British Science Week, Whalley Range Celebrate are running a series of workshops to create a very special piece of science / art, called a Pendulum Wave Machine.
